About the role
Verdantis is hiring a hands-on engineering leader to run the MRO360 team, combining technical leadership with real coding across backend, frontend, and AI workflows. This role owns architecture and delivery while establishing disciplined agentic development practices—using AI coding agents to accelerate delivery while enforcing rigorous human review, testing, and production accountability. You will mentor engineers, partner with product and AI teams, and build a culture of ownership and responsible AI tool use.
The MRO360 platform helps maintenance, repair, and operations teams in asset-heavy industries manage spare parts, inventory, procurement, and reliability data. As the technical lead, you will translate product requirements into shipped software, debug complex issues, and collaborate on LLM features and data enrichment workflows.
This role suits a builder-leader who still enjoys writing production code, has used AI coding tools seriously in real settings, and can critically evaluate AI-generated output. You will set guardrails and standards governing what agents may change versus what requires human review, red-teaming code for hallucinated logic, security gaps, and weak tests before merge.
What you'll do
Own technical architecture and direction across backend, frontend, AI workflows, and integrations for the MRO360 platform
Translate product requirements into technical designs and deliver production-quality features
Write and review production code across the stack; build APIs, services, and UI components
Design and implement agentic coding workflows using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot with human-in-the-loop review processes
Build internal agents for code review, test generation, documentation, and refactoring with clear guardrails and standards
Red-team AI-generated code for hallucinated logic, security vulnerabilities, and inadequate test coverage before merge
Collaborate with AI engineers on LLM features, RAG pipelines, and data enrichment workflows; balance capability against accuracy, cost, and latency
Partner with product, QA, DevOps, and customer-facing teams; identify and surface technical risks early
Debug complex production issues and drive improvements in performance, reliability, and observability
Mentor engineers through design reviews and code review; establish standards for quality and delivery
Support hiring efforts and build a culture of ownership and disciplined AI tool use
What we're looking for
8–12+ years of software engineering experience
Minimum 2 years in a technical lead, staff engineer, or equivalent leadership role
Demonstrated ability to write production code in at least two modern programming languages or frameworks
Portfolio or examples of working with AI coding tools in real production environments
Understanding of backend systems, databases, security, and operational best practices
